I have passed this coin, #001, on to my wife of 43 years, RADM Marianne "Mimi" Drew, on the occasion of our anniversary. She is the most caring, selfless person I know--and I have been a keen observer for all of these years. Mimi makes a difference where ever she goes--be it the US Navy, our church, her women's club or her friends. She frequently speaks on leadership and if she were looking for a person who epitomizes the many characteristics she speaks of, being a great leader--Matt Haley would be her selection.

our dog got loose and our neighbor grabbed him and put a leash on him and waited with him until we got there. we live right on a busy road. thanks hatty.

Every time i go through the drive-through window of my bank with my dog, the teller always gives my yellow lab, Bert, a milkbone. Last time i made a deposit, she got called away from the window, never having a chance to give Bert his treat. I went to the bank today, and in the tray there were 2 bones, with a note saying, "Sorry Bert."
